DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!!!!! They are understaffed, and the staff they DO have are rude and OBVIOUSLY under qualified! !! My grandmother is here ( i would take her out if possible... Im not power of attorney) and just in the last week has fallen twice!!! STILL DOES NOT GET HELP GETTING DRESSED OR HELP WITH ANYTHING FOR THAT MATTER!!!! ONE OF THE TIMES SHE FELL SHE LAID THERE FOR 3 HOURS!!!! Yes .... 3HOURS!!!!!! Im beyond mad right now!!!! Yet there is nothing i can do... Its a heartbreaking experience! !! Not one family member was contacted when she fell... I guess they dont want anyone to know... Oh but believe the state will know first thing in the morning!!!!

Had a family member there with a broken back and other health issues. They asked a nurse for a Sprite to help settle an upset stomach was told unless they had money to buy it they weren't getting one. Also asked for something for pain was told they didn't have anything to give them. Seriously thinking about talking to a lawyer, the staff at this place is cruel to its patients.

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
No actual harm with potential for minimal harm A B C

Staffing Levels Per Resident per Day

Medicare determines the expected staffing time per resident per day depending on level of care the residents of Northside Health Care require. It is important to compare the reported time to expected time for a single facility instead of comparing the amount of time per resident of two facilities. Learn why.
