My father was in 82w at this horrific place that I call an insane asylum. Please don't let your loved one go here if you can help it. The head nurses are the rudest, cold hearted people I've ever met. They have no soul left or heart. They let the patient's sit in dirty diapers, show them 0 kindness. My dad finally got in William F Green and they are awesome. I would rather my dad had been in Metro than this place. I'm filing a formal complaint. They need to be shut down. My dad lost 23 pounds in the 2 1/2 months he was there. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE!!!!

My brother was placed at Lynwood Nursing Home over a week or so ago and his treatment has been unacceptable. Just today I have started praying for all the caregivers/workers at Lynwood that they would realize that they are in the service industry and the people that they are serving deserve upmost respect and proper care. Two incidents have occurred in this facility against my brother since being there; one, receiving unjust punishment by forcing him to sit in the lobby all night due to an accident for urinating on the floor and two, being cursed out by an employee. I wish that I could post a picture of my brother to show the readers just how delicate he is right now. He is currently there for a 21 day stay for rehabilitation due to partial amputation of his right leg. Please understand that I write this review in concern for my brother's safety and care. This past weekend I traveled from Auburn to see him and was appalled by the actions of some of the workers. They were arguing with each other concerning their job duties and who was actually in charge. They seem to have no respect for visitors. I'm praying that they were just having a bad day, but this left me feeling really uneasy leaving my brother in their care. My advice to any reader reading this review, visit you loved ones as often as possible to make sure that they are truly being cared for.

Our mother was in the memory care unit, and everything from the beach murals on the walls, the layout of the unit including access to an outside area with gardens, to the staff was cheerful and resident focused. The billing department is almost impossible to deal with, and the only reason they did not get 5 stars.

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
No actual harm with potential for minimal harm A B C
