Ask and ask... "Can you play music of their era" to play overhead even from Pandora or "reading current news to the people" as they sit in the lobby waiting for the next meal or "can you help mom with turning on TV and get a movie on for her"- (She's lost the ability to work the remote) but still know it's "boring" around here. Wish they would bring in children from the local schools... I hear their are programs all over that bring in preschoolers and they spend the day with the older folks doing crafts, reading stories, telling stories which has shown to be beneficial to both the old and the young... but this place does not do any of this. Ice cream cooler is available for ice cream sandwiches IF you can walk to the cafe that they serve it in but if you can't make your way there you are destined to 2 Tbsp of ice cream in a bowl ... all for the low price of 6000/month. Not very accomadating or nurturing or focused on QUALITY other than "outer appearances" . I wouldn't want to spend my later days here and wish we didn't have to have our parent there either.

HORRIBLE PLACE! KICKED MY GRANDMA OUT OF THERE ON THANKSGIVING WEEKEND. TOLD US SHE HAD TO BE OUT THERE BY SATURDAY AND HER INSURANCE IS CLOSED AND I CALLED TO TELL THEM AND THEY TOLD US THAT WE HAD TO PAY $205 A DAY. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYONE OR ANYTHING OTHER THEN MAKING THE MONEY FOR THEMSELVES. HORRIBLE PLACE.

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
No actual harm with potential for minimal harm A B C
