    My mom had a great experience at Downey Care Center. I really like the place because of the staffs. Right from the moment my mother was admitted the staff were very helpful. The staffs treated my mom with respect and attended to her when she called on them for help. I was really impressed wit how fast my mom recovered with the great help received from the Physical Therapy and the Occupational Therapy. One of the greatest assets of Downey Care is the professionalism and the caring attitude of the Social Worker/Director in charge. When I had a question she was very patient and listened to what I had to say. Thanks Downey Care Center.

    The food is only fit for a pig. The meat looked and tasted like road kill. My sister was on a no acid and sodium diet and that is what they kept bringing to her. The TV's in the room were on loud all hours of the day and night even though some of the patients were asleep for 20 hours a day. The restroom was shared by 6 people and when my sister had to go she had to ask the 4 visitors of another patient to move so she could use the restroom. My sister was on oxygen ever since she had a heat attack and the doctor was going to discharge her the next day with no oxygen even though she had pneumonia and high BP. My sister had to be rushed back to the hospital and the center didn't give the paramedics no list of meds she was on or a list of her last 72 hour activity report (I found out at the ER). Alot of the facility has ALOT to be in proved upon.

    My mom had an injury recovery with rehab. My mom is picky and loved the treatment. This location treat different levels and I heard of senior neglect and abuse nightmares from other locations, screaming. Not this location. Professional staff to accommodate the needs of their patients. Even the special needs, they take care of. When I get old and need care with rehab, I would not mind staying here.

    My ex girlfriend worked there, & would always tell me how awful some cna were to their patients. They would stuff towels in contenece pad (diaper) so they wouldn't have to change it in the afternoon. It had multiple outbreak of scabies as well.

    This Downey Care Center almost kill my dad. He was neglected and Dehydrated, my dad in up in ICU because of them. Please close this facility. I don't want this happen to other patient. I already report them to the state. I don't want they are still open. The nurses their and the director don't care about their patients they only care about money.
