    This place is a joke. I left today after 2 days of a nightmare. I would hit the call button and no one would show up at least 50 percent of the time. Very few spoke English. Now please understand half of the staff were nice and great. The other half were untrained and unqualified. The food was discusting. They will not turn on the air and I just about baked in there. They finally got me a fan. The remote to the TV didn't work. The lady across the hall screamed obsenities every 3 minutes. Don't take your loved one's there!

    I spent a lot of time at this facility caring for a loved one and I was able to observe how much the staff went out of their way to care for the patients. They took special requests very seriously and even brought back some In'N'Out one day for my grandfather who jokingly asked for it one day. A lot of love goes into caring for the patients that come here to recover!

    Sea Cliff is a horrible place to put your loved ones. If you have little money and/or they have little health insurance, don't expect yourself or the loved one going in to be treated with much respect. I have visited this facility a number of times to visit old friends and it is disgusting how the staff treats their residents, their resident's visitors, and any concerns that are proposed to them. They are combative when questioned and when no middle ground with a nurse or CNA can be reached they have interfered with attempted calls to doctors to solve discrepancies. How? By raising their voices and arguing to get a particular visitor to hang up the phone and continue their never ending back and forth. And in front of other residents! Yeah. Incredibly unprofessional and manipulative. They have cornered visitors and threatened banishment from visiting their loved ones and even went as far to bring an administrator into the mix against a visitor after one of their nurses was reported. Where the heck was the concern for the resident in all this? All they are concerned about is protecting their backsides and even went as far as using a visitor's loved one as a verbal weapon against them, a visitor who is unable to verbally communicate but still very aware. They treat all their residents like invalids and seem to think this behavior is acceptable because "they are a nurse and know more than you" and that their "brethren" mentality keeps them immune from strict disciplinary actions. And yet the staff's behavior is only half of the problems I and other visitors have encountered there. Conditions are unsanitary. Urine has been left to sit in the middle of the hallway floors, even after a nurse has been informed. And the wide spread of viruses that have swept through this facility that I know of would make anyone queasy about ever stepping through Sea Cliff's doors again. Nurses aren't wearing gloves when handling their sick patients, and when an outbreak of Norovirus and MRSA hit the scene it was like watching a zombie horror film. The environment of this facility has created a steady decline in my loved one's physical and mental health. I have no doubt they are willing to argue with me about everything I have said rather than make a professional approach to these concerns. I am also sure this may have repercussions against myself and my friends who reside in the facility. Its horrible when you think the people you need to trust cannot be trusted. Especially in the medical field where the lives of our loved ones are dependent upon the words and actions of their nursing staff; and unless they clean up their act they are eventually going to cross the wrong person and all its going to take is a single wrongful death lawsuit to put them in hot water. Now, not all of the staff is as I have described. There are incredible people working there who do care but the behaviors of those who don't, need to be highlighted so this problem can be fixed. Please, if you are thinking about putting a loved one in this facility consider the facts. Really listen to what is being said. Interview the nurses and tour the facility at a random time. Don't let them sugar coat answers. Find out the rules, especially for video recording in the case you may suspect abuse. Stay proactive. Interview residents if you can or past employees. Really take a look at this place because if I had a choice my friends NEVER would have stepped foot in this place to begin with.

    I was here after a fall. I was treated with respect and dignity. The modeled the occupational therapy to incorporate my love of baking and crafts. The food is homemade fir the most oarty. The have daily activities. More importantly when put your call light on whomever passed first from administrator to housekeeping would try to assist you or get who you what was needed in a timely manner. Well am only 48 I have already informed my children this is where i want yo go when i am aged, lol this place is that good.

    I normally don't do these but i had to pause for a moment and recognize this incredible staff. This is not a business to them, they know and understand that they are being charged with the most important people in your life. I was very apprehensive about any long term facility but the staff got that and really exceeded our expectations.
