They dont rotate my grandmothers limbs that are unable to be moved by her do to stroke. Rude staff. All they want is more money. Nice looking place but even the devil was an angel once. It seems like a good place but after your in there things change. Ive worked at these places an this staff sucks we spilled peaches in the rec area in the center of the building an they didnt even care to give me some paper towels to clean it up. Peaches as we know is sugar espically canned an thats all they give out....more ants bees an other bugs also when your trying to visit your family member their roomates arent respectful. Trying to bud into conversations when ive flown/driven thousands of miles. Pure an simple the place lacks basic respect to patients to family to debtors everyone they know medicade takes TIME TO PROCESS the threatning phone calls about kicking my grandmother out of their center on a miss communication BETWEEN THEM AN MEDICAID AN NOT PROVIDING US WITH A LIST OF DOCTORS THEY ACCEPT. THIS WAS A 4 MONTH HELL PROCESS BECAUSE OF THEIR LACK OF COMMUNICATION BUT THEY WILL ALWAYS THREATEN YOUR LOVED ONE.THEY WILL DENY EVERY DOCTOR ASK FOR THE LIST SAVE YOURSELF TIME AN PREPARE FOR THE EXTRA FEES!! This place looks nice but when your there all the time you see how it really is, beautiful building but staff is the same as at a hospice center. To treat people like this is disgusting espically when your being paid an youve had to go through ACTUAL MEDICAL TRAINING. I refuse to leave my grandmother in that condition on her last years. Its better than a roached place but its no 3 star service the look of the building is very deicieving.

I visit Arbor Hills often. My grandfather was there for three years and the people there were always accommodating, friendly and attentive to his needs. I'm bummed to see these other reviews. Please take into consideration that people don't generally review a nursing home if they're having a good experience, and that we only see a few reviews on here, which seem a bit tainted. My legal work (which is unattached & uninterested from the facility) now brings me to Arbor HIlls often, I meet with patients and their families repeatedly. They all seem just as satisfied and content with the operations as my family was in regards to my grandfather. I am extremely impressed with Elena among the administration who is always checking in on patients, visitors, and professionals within the facility. The others there follow her lead. Ultimately, if I had seen anything wrong, I would have reported immediately, but I never have. In fact, I've only seen good! Good Service, Good routine, Good care, and good people... and to that, here's a good review :)

A relative of mine was placed here on a temporary stay for only 10 days. During her stay her brother went to visit her at breakfast. He found her sitting in wet undergarments with her breakfast in front of her. When he asked for her to be cleaned up so she could eat - he was told absolutely not. It seems the policy is to have their patients eat first and then be cleaned and made ready for the day and they would not make an exception for us. I can't express how disturbed I was when I heard this. If you have even the smallest amount of feeling for your family, do not ever send them here. In my opinion they should be shut down. I don't know how they are allowed to remain open.

My father was at Arbor Hills in April of 2009 and when he needed to go back to a nursing home last month, I thought of Arbor Hills. They are friendly, caring and compassionate. They treat my father with respect and dignity.

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
No actual harm with potential for minimal harm A B C
