    The only negative thing I have to say about this place is that the building is a bit dated. Everything else is excellent. The staff is not only very good at what they do, but they are extremely friendly and treat your loved one with great care and dignity. This faculty is just big enough to provide all the resources their patients need, but also just small enough to treat them all like family. I highly recommend Avalon for your care for your loved one.

    This is not the right place to take your love one...my father was at this facility and after seven weeks I took it to the emergency department because he looked terrible they put him on ICU for one week he was Malnourished, dehydrated and with infection in the urine...after four week I pick up my fat her belong and several items that did not gave me and this personal items were notify by me to the caregivers...if you take your family to this facility make sure you visit at any time and supervise.

    I used to like this convalescent hospital for my mother to go for respite care. Its in a convenient location for family to visit her when she's there and she would come home happy. However, they have gone through a couple of new directors in the last year or two and seem to be having trouble. They seem disorganized and if you call and talk to two different people you will get two completely different answers to your questions. They no longer exercise my mom's leg like they used to and they don't always feed her the mechanical soft diet she is supposed to have. She comes home very stiff, sore and unhappy. I really want to like this place, but it has been difficult lately.
