    A wonderful community to live in! The views are lovely as you can see in the picture I took from the rooftop rose garden. They have renovated their apartments and their dining room and library areas. I was very impressed when I visited. I also had lunch there with the sales person and she was very informative about the price and what was included. Thanks for the great lunch and tour!

    very distressing experience from the moment i moved in - without the apartment being at all ready (Marketing did not alert me but rather she left town ) to the poor food, & decaying infrastructure - to the day, 3 months later that i moved out. thanks to the CA State Law that new residents can get get back their buy -in amount in 90 days. yet a useful experience because now i greatly appreciate my present Sr. Residence i.e. St. Paul's Towers.

    My grandma has lived her for 20+ years. Great location, nice facilities and good food in the dining hall. They keep the building updated and with fresh improvements regularly. Rooftop rose garden and event space in the basement. Grandma has been very happy here.

    I toured the facility last week in considering possibly there. I was born in Oakland 69 years ago, live in Martinez. I worked in Oakland before I retired. Location, maintenance, and the United Methodist connection were strong pulls. I was shocked however to learn the all the bath tubs are being removed from the building, and there is no hot tub or jacuzzi. A tub is essential for as I have suffered from Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) most of my life. I take medication three times a day for this and I still get overwhelmed at times from this condition. I have found over the years that soaking in Epson salts really helps my legs calm down. Now that neuropathy is increasing in my feet and legs that soaking in a tub has really become critical to my physical health and well-being. Won't Lake Park reconsider removing all their tubs from each apartment for the health and well-being of a least some of the (potential) tenants?
