    My first day here there was a pile of feces on the floor in the shower facility. It seems like most of the staff lacks compassion, except a select few. The staff who do care are great, they're caring and funny. The physical therapists are a good lot as well. The food could be better, however.

    Recently I spent about two months at the Poway Healthcare Center. The care and attention I received was at the top of top notch. The employees at this facility have a wonderful, friendly, and comforting air about them that makes confinement and recovery time fly by.     I have been care giving a friend of mine who has been at the Center for several months. I am impressed with the personal, sincere, caring of every employee that works there - from management to the nurses, to the support staff. They all strive to meet every patient's individual needs. You can't go wrong at the Poway Healthcare Center.

    my only complaint and it rather significant, was the food ! I have been in many hospitals in San Diego, Sharp Memorial, Grossmount, mercy, Palomar I think the new one, Pomardo, and Poway Health Care. This was the absolute worst food ever ! I was told it had to be healthy for the old people. Why ? So they cant have a pleasure of life.If it was not for the cottage cheese and fruit plate or the yougurt and fruit plate I would have starved ! I have told my friends if I end up there the MUST no if and or but... bring me food ! Other than that it was quite lovely.I do think all of these basically end of life facilities should allow, provide even some indulgences. Maybe a cocktail... I know I know the meds. well, at the very least enjoyable food ! Forget heathy, bring on the hollendaise, the pate d forgis, lobster... at least once a week !Decent tasting food the rest of the week

    My grandma stayed there after she had surgery and the service was terrible she had to remind the nurses to give her her medical and the janitors left crap in the bathroom and garbage bags in the room and there were very few staff members who were kind
