    My mother was a short term patient there. She was discharged WITHOUT her wheelchair. When we picked her up we asked where her wheelchair was and they said that she didn't arrive with one. Really? She's completely immobile! My husband had to physically lift her to get her inside the house! The wheelchair situation was never resolved and we ended having to get her a new one ourselves. This place does NOT care about there patients. If they did then they wouldn't have discharged someone in that manner.

    They only hire a certain ethnic group. Not diverse at all...2 1/2 yrs later I get a call stating that they found my resume on career builder and was "amazed" at the level of experience I had and wanted to do an interview. I arrived at the interview she practically begged me to be a part of their team...15+yrs of experience =$10.75 an hour? ? then she stated that survey was coming up and they needed African American employees to show diversity..REALLY?? The nerve! Maybe she would have been amazed 2 1/2 years ago when I applied the first time...I forgot, I caught the receptionist throwing my application in the trash.

    I had a family member located at the Del Amo Gardens Convalescent Home. I am very disappointed in their facility and staff . I have complained regarding my family member on many occasions, every time I complain they cover up their unprofessionalism and they put the blame on their patients. I witnessed the facility not caring for patients by leaving them in soiled diapers and strapping them to beds when they got out by themselves. When I noticed patients calling for help they ignored them so patients started hollering and screaming all day long. Plus I noticed many patients strapped to their wheelchairs leaving them lined in the hallway of their nurses station. On closer observation I heard a elderly woman screaming for someone to come and help her, when I approached her I noticed a very large bruise on her arm and back side of hand she was screaming in pain and no one came to her attention I spoke with one of the nurses and was told I am busy I'll get to her after while I was devastated!!! I feel the treatment at this facility is terrible. I feel that they are abusing the elderly and profiting off State Funds. I definitely do not recommend this facility for your loved ones.
