My stay at Kenton Manor was good and was needed for rehabilitation. The location was convenient and close to home and the parking was well lit for safety in the evening for family and visitors. Upon arrival, the room available was small but clean and a bit out dated. A room became available that was closer to the nurses station responsible for my care, so I was moved. This room was nicer and provided more space. The Physical and Occupational Therapy staff were very good. The staff is well educated and experienced. They work well with their patients and work through the patients limitations by keeping their spirits up and providing praise and giving patients confidence. The Nurses and CNA's were knowledgeable and quick to render help and care. Overall, the experience was good and rewarding.

My Grandmother is here at the moment. When she told us she needed to go to the bathroom we relayed that to the stuff. Instead of coming to the room to help her, they ask "well does she have a diaper on?" Really? Would you want to sit there and poop your drawers? This about sums up the care at this facility!

The team at Kenton is great. I have seen several examples of Sydnie, Genesis, Miranda and many other Kenton team members, going above and beyond to serve their residents. It is a pleasure to work as partner with this wonderful group of people.

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
No actual harm with potential for minimal harm A B C
