    My Grandmother was at Sharmar Village for many years. My family and I couldn't be more grateful for the wonderful care and love they provided, not only to my grandmother, but to us as well. It is devastating to be in the position of having to rely on others to care for your loved one, when they always cared for you... My grandmother was my everything. The staff at Sharmar were so kind and considerate to our situation, our big family and the questions and concerns that we would drown them with. The care was excellent, the staff are excellent, and even though it has been a few years now since my grandmother has passed, we still attend the annual holiday functions because they are still apart of our family. You would choose Sharmar if you want your loved one care for!

    Overall, our experience here was not very good. They are definitely understaffed, and the staff that does work there will say one thing to you, but then do another. We left numerous messages with staff, and also talk to them face-to-face. But, they would never call us back, and situations were never resolved. The care was another thing. My mother did not feel safe and even had staff tell her that they would not come back and help her even if she pushed her call button over and over again. We even had a driver of the facility van not restrain my mother properly and when he stopped suddenly, my mother was thrown forward onto the floor where she landed on her face and her knees and received injuries from that incident. My mother did not return to that facility and ended up being in the hospital due to other issues that she had. The staff never called to check on my mom to see how she was doing and never once reach out to us to tell us that they were sorry about what had happened or give an update on how they were going to correct that situation in the future so it didn't happen to any other residents there. I would definitely not recommend this facility to anybody who cares about their loved ones.
