    My mom is in assisted-living at Devonshire Acres. My mom and I both think the food is really good. The staff is very caring and good to Mom. The maintenance crew are the best.

    The reviewer below is clearly someone who lost his/her job under duress and is now seeking to undermine Devonshire Acres out of bitterness. Not only does it appear to have been written by a first grader, it's full of libelous inaccuracies. Nearly all of the "emploies" were new? Not so much. Many of the staff have worked there for over a decade. "Resedents" neglected, put in harm's way, given poor care? Absolutely not! On the contrary. The loving staff members call the residents by name and are very solicitous and personally concerned for their health, safety, and comfort. My grandmother has lived in the same room at Devonshire for going on ten years, and has had completely positive experiences with each staff member, all of whom genuinely love and care for her. They even pop in sometimes as they're leaving just to say goodbye for the night or bring her the paper or see how she's doing. If you're looking for a caring place for a loved one to live where they'll be looked after, not just as a patient, but as a person, Devonshire Acres is an excellent choice.

    Honestly the truth is somewhere in between. You could do worse for nursing homes, but this one is no prize. I did an nursing internship there and it was understaffed the whole time I was there which caused patient care to suffer. The food is terrible. If it doesn't come frozen or out of a can it doesn't get served. I did not ever witness patient abuse and there are many good staff members there. It just seems like they try to scrape by with as little staff as cheaply as possible.
