My husband Leonard had a stroke last year, and he became mentally and physically incapacitated. He went to two other nursing homes prior to coming to Regents Park at Aventura. Finally, at Regents Park, I have found peace of mind because of the excellent skilled care provided for his overall health. As a family member of a resident at Regents Park, what I appreciate the most is the attention and assistance I receive from the staff; they have been very supportive. They always listen to my questions, are attentive to my needs and are always open to my suggestions. I would strongly recommend Regents Park at Aventura to any family in need of their skilled nursing services and therapeutic programs for a loved one. Marta Hoag

Unfortunately I have been to several rehab facilities over the years with my mom who is 94, and was disappointed with each and every one. However, I just spent 6 weeks with Mom @ Regents Park and have had the best experience ever. The level of care, the physical therapy dept. the staff and even the food was amazing. They truly care for their patients and go the extra mile to make sure that your loved ones are cared for properly. This gave me a piece of mind that I have never felt in the past facilities. I would like to especially thank Daisy who coordinated every thing I needed at the office level. She has the best personality, makes you feel like you matter and is proficient at her job.I recommend this place highly, without hesitation, to anyone who needs care for their loved ones.

I have spent recently in September 2018, a few weeks at Regents Park at Aventura rehab. This was my first time experience in such a place. That's why I was scared at first. But days went by and I saw that the nursing staff and all the others that were involved in the rehab process were really very nice, friendly and professional people. They helped me in my everyday needs, and I recovered to such extent, that I was not afraid to return home when I live by myself. I am very thankful to all the people there at the rehab center. All those who gave me their time, attention and care during the days and nights. Michelle in admissions gets my special admiration. Thank you for your kindness and special attention to me. My thanks and wishes of good health to everybody. Sincerely Linda Green room 243

ALICIA BARLOW, R.I.P. Our mother Alicia Barlow passed away last night at 6:30PM at Regents Park Nursing Home, in our sister's arms, surrounded by her family and the dedicated caregivers form Vitas and the Home. We are eternally grateful for the professional care she received at Regents Park and from the Vitas team, up to the last moment when one of the nurses read a farewell psalm by our mother's bedside. Our sincere thanks to all of you for your support, including the administration, which made our mother's transition into the nursing home as smooth as possible. Jaime Izquierdo

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
No actual harm with potential for minimal harm A B C
