    My mother was there for 6 weeks. The service and staff was fantastic. Rehab was awesome..so that she has elected to continue using Hawthorn for her out patient rehab. Wonderful place for your loved ones

    My mother was in the Independent facility. The food was awful, maid service poor and the manager used intimidation and threats against anyone who complained about the service! Patty Bramble is her name....don't let her threaten eviction against your family members. My mom was also in short term rehab which was great. Staff and service good. Just beware of Independent facility!!

    I am the daughter of the late Lois Soper. I just wanted to say thank you for everything therapy and the nurses did for her.i knpw she was kinda loud at times but you still took good care of her and i wanted to thank everyone involved in her care.

    It's disheartening to see that some residents have to get up as early as 3:30am just because the aides had a lot of "get up's" to do before their shift ends at 6am. These are residents that cannot speak for themselves. They are all dropped off in front of the TV. Don't believe me? Make an early visit. If your loved ones are in halls 300/400 and are not very coherent, see for yourself. This place, like every LTC, is understaffed. LTC just cares about the bottom line and not the residents.

    1 year ago my husband and I visited several nursung faciluties for my father in law.We visited Hawthorne and were satisfied with the facility. Today I called the administration office there and spoke with a lady. The first thing she asked was, Would my father in law be paying out of pocket or through insurance, I advice. Then I told her all of his care needs she told me since he had early stages of dementia then he could not come there. She said there facility is not gated. However on Hawthirnes website it clearly states "Dementia and Incontinence care available at an additional fee". I kindly asked the "sales person" if she knew of any facilities near by that tool people with dementia, she told me no, and that I can Google and find out! I was very disappointed with the service l received over the phone.
