There is no TV curfew time. Still at 11:30 PM and patients in the same room are allowed to have the TV on make it difficult for others to sleep. Plus the nurse comes in the room talking loud and making conversation with patients without concerns of the status of others. Part of rehab I thought is also being able to have enough rest in order to be able to endure the therapy the next day. Not good protocol of the night shift. Also a staff member comes into the room is at 11:45Pm without introducing herself whom she is and asks me which side of the body the patient (my mother which suffered a stroke) has difficulty with. Hello!, don't you guys read the patient profile /chart?. What if I wasn't there?. Do I have to be there all day and explain over and over again why she is there and what her condition is and what her needs are?.

Took my 91 yeae old mom there for rehab about 2 weeks ago because it was rated so highly. Mom kept complaining about having to go to the bathroom but needed assistance because she was a fall risk. She was told to use a diaper by some of the aides because they were "too busy " to keep running in to help. Maybe they should have realized that the UTI had come back. Instead she was placed on xanax for anxiety. Mom wound up back in the hospital again with a UTI and pneumonia. I was falsely under the impression that a Catholic facility would be more diligent in her care and show more kindness.i would not recommend this facility for a Loved one.

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
No actual harm with potential for minimal harm A B C
