BEWARE!! This is definitely NOT the center to take your loved one. My mother spent 10 days in this horrible place, just for Rehab, and instead of getting better, she ended up in the Hospital almost dead on mother's day. Her lungs full of liquid, reason why she lacked oxygenation, and very bad infection on both of her eyes plus, she is a living skeleton, just skin and bones. She survived because there is a God and he heard my prayers.

BEWARE!! DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU LOVE YOU FAMILY MEMBER!! THIS PLACE IS BEYOND HORRIBLE. MY DAD HAS ALZHEIMER AND COULD NOT SPEAK OR DEFEND HIMSELF. HE WAS LEFT WITH A DIRTY DIAPER FOR HOURS ON END LEAVING HIM WITH BURNS . THEY HAD A LAB COME IN AND WITH NO CARE FORCE BLOOD WORK ON MY DAD ON BOTH ARMS LEAVING HIM BLACK, PURPLE AND BLUE. WHEN I ASKED STAFF THEY HAD NO KNOWLEDGE AND SAID IT WAS NOT THEM, THEY TOLD ME IT WAS THE LAB. I SHOWED UP ONE NIGHT WITH NO WARNING AND MY FATHER WAS SHAKING WITH NO BLANKET WITH NOTHING ON NOT EVEN A T SHIRT JUST LAYING THERE. IF YOU LOVE YOUR PARENTS DO NOT BRING THEM HERE. THEY WILL KILL YOUR FAMILY MEMBER SLOWLY. THEY DRUGGED MY DAD ON A DAILY BASIS, SO MUCH THAT HE DIDN'T EAT OR WAKE UP. HE WAS ONLY THERE FOR 4 DAYS. WHEN HE WAS TRANSPORTED TO HOSPITAL THEY REFUSED TO CHANGE HIS DIAPER AND LEFT HIM WITH FECES WHILE THEY WERE PROCESSING HIM. HE WAS VERY ILL, I REQUESTED THE MEDICATION THEY HAD GIVEN MY DAD AND THEY REFUSED TO GIVE IT TO ME. ITS BEEN OVER A WEEK AND WE STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A LIST OF THE MEDIATION USED TO SEDATE MY DAD. THEY REFUSED TO GIVE IT TO US. I SHOWED UP DEMANDING MY DADS RECORDS AND CALLED THE COPS THEY STILL SAID I HAD TO HAD TO WAIT TILL THE NEXT DAY. TO THIS DAY I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY DADS RECORDS NOR HAVE WE RECEIVED A PHONE CALL. I AM SEEKING LEGAL COUNSEL AGAINST CORAL GABLES NURSING HOME FOR NEGLIGENCE WITH MY FATHER.

Fines, Complaints, and Inspection Problems in the Past 3 Years

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
No actual harm with potential for minimal harm A B C
