    I'm here now trying to recover from a traumatic injury. During the week, staff is attentive and caring. Weekends kind of suck. Promises made for services aren't kept. Very noisy, hard to sleep. Rooms are not planned well, sharing a room means SHARING. Up close and personal. Not suggesting to stay away, just be prepared for tough weekends. And the food is hit or miss, but is mostly bad. I will most likely leave Monday (today is Sat)

    Both my parents are residents at Hawthorne Village. My dad is in the assisted living facility and my my is in the Garden Court (memory care unit). I am there every night and absolutely love this place. I think the care that is provided for my parents is great. Georgie does a wonderful job with activities, and makes sure that they have the best live entertainment almost every month. I highly recommend this place for you or your loved ones.

    Absolutely horrible. The first night there my grandmother was attacked by another patient and got hurt badly and the staff there never alerted us about it and tried to cover it up. Every time we questioned someone about the incident the acted like we were crazy. None of the nurses communicate about what medicine they've been giving her and one even tried to give her another patients meds. She was only there for therapy for her wrist that she broke and they tried to get her to sign papers for her to be admitted into the institution for being insane. After that we wanted her out and they gave us a very tough time about it. Please do not go here. I promise you'll regret it. I hope this helps.

    Very very disappointed very poor in all aspects, elderly patients all in the halls in their wheelchairs 24/7, I had to take my mother several times to the ER in less then 3 weeks. It was really a nightmare and with all the problems we had there, They billed us for using a recliner when we had an air mattress . Make sure you take your wipes because that was one question I was always asked. I really don't know how can they call this place a 5 star. Most important to me is the cleanliness, and we had to call everytime for them to clean the bathroom. Now I give credit and appreciate very much to a CNA named Margaret she was one that did everything possible for my mother to be comfortable being that my mother suffered a stroke. I do not recommend this place.
