    I have a friend who is a patient there. It was around lunch and was offered a guest tray. Unfortunately, I did not have any money on me, so one of the nurses there offered to get me a free lunch. Her name was Tamisha. I sincerely appreciated that. It was a good meal. So far, I've been very impressed with the care. I think she's in good hands.

    My mom completed rehab at Bayshore Pointe, and they took excellent care of her! The administrator greeted us on a Sunday afternoon when she was admitted. They catered to her dietary requests and the nurses and CNAs were so sweet and caring. They made sure she was not in pain after surgery, and they got her up walking, and even climbing stairs, so that she could go back home and live on her own. If you or a family member ever needs inpatient rehab, this is the best place to go!

    I always came back to find my mother in neglected conditions. Filthy and unkept. Extremely Understaffed and Unsupervised employees. I've had to search out supplies to do things myself. I had to make calls to get mother the right medication. They kept screwing it up. Nurses gave me the "I didn't know" excuse: no communication between staff. Mom kept getting infections! During her stay, she fell trying to get to bathroom because they consistently never answered call button. They never called me! That is downright illegal. --- If that happens to your loved one, call an ambulance as soon as you find out! Or they will get away with it and how else are you going to be certain your loved one did get hurt. --- At the time of release, which I tried so hard to plan and manage. She was almost released to the wrong place!!! When the new place called me at the last minute asking for my enrollment signature, we had figured out the mistake!! How could this have happened?? I was clear and reiterated several times. I kept asking when are they going to contact her Nursing Home! They also forgot to arrange transport! They removed her from her bed and left her in the lobby for hours!!!

    I literally spent months here. I am not elderly. The trouble was I can still think and defend myself. Please, I implore you not to leave a loved family member here. This is only the beginning. My finished review will be much longer and contain photos. The physical therapy staff is wonderful, down to a person. I can name a handful of good CNA's and nurses, BUT there is absolutely no reason for this place to be the "Bleakhouse" of a Charles Dicken's novel. Short staffed, call bells not answered for hours on purpose, and spite between staff. More later.

    This place has very caring working people. In my opinion this place is what you make of it. I have seen people complain about this place but it is one of your nicer rehabilitation and nursing centers in the Tampa area. The physical and occupational therapist that work there do it because they genuinely want to help patients. The activities department and staff persons are very giving of themselves. I have had family members in this facility and I have been a patient here as well. I never saw a staff member being rude to a patient. Yes as in all facilities there are a few that should not he in health care but these usually do not last. Yes, there are times in health care that units are short staffed. This place is not immune to this shortage. The workers will stay and work over time and they did not mind and did not slack off. I must say that the administration of this place has done and continue to do an excellent job.
