Went by today to vist our friend admitted to the Rehabilitation Center after a hip surgery, and I have to say the place is very niece and didn't look like another rehabilitation centers I have seen. Very clean, no bad smells, quiet, loved the atmosphere, I asked him if it was always like that.. He said it's always like that, that the staff is very attentive and caring. His room has his own private full bathroom, with shower and all. Keep up the good work, and thank you for all you do!!

Mom had surgery which left her with an ostomy bag and lots of stitches across her stomach that needed to heal. Mom was in shock with how to handle her medical condition and needs and the staff members at NuVista helped her to get through this transition so she could get home and be independent. There is a large staff of physical therapists and occupational therapists who guided Mom through exercises, strengthening, doing daily chores around the house and caring for herself. Mom had help walking and being able to go from the walker to back to walking normally. We appreciated the cleanliness of NuVista and the friendliness of the staff members. Mom was happy with the food served which made her stay at Nu Vista Rehab in Wellington a positive experience because at first she did not want to eat and that changed. My business associate fell and needed some rehab and I recommended her to Nu Vista because I could honestly say it is a good place for someone you care about to have their rehab.

I think this disgrace of a facility should be investigated by the state of Florida and shut down. Worst nursing staff ever. Especially on the 2nd floor at night. Do your homework and read the reviews and newspaper articles online about this dump before sending your loved one here.

I have never offered up a review before but I believe it is important to warn others of the poor care offered at NuVista. My family brought our relative there and we were thankful to get her out alive...staff spends more time complaining about their job and the 12 hour shift they must take than they do taking care of patients in need. Nobody responds to patients at night calling for help with their call button. Some nurses giving out meds appear unprofessional & confused. Med carts are left unattended in the hallway & unlocked. Complaints to "Nurse Supervisors" go unanswered. They just don't care at all. It is important to note that YES...we did encounter a CNA who was pleasant & helpful, but they are few and far apart & also express frustration with their job. They are poorly trained. For example, patients who are not weight bearing are left alone at night so that staff can help out on another floor. Something should be done to protect patients, but meanwhile, stay away...THE CARE IS POOR.

My Aunt was at NuVista for Rehabilitation several months ago. All I can say is THIS IS A GREAT PLACE! I felt that she was always cared for and they got her back on her feet in no time at all. I was informed at every step of the way. It is a beautiful campus. The staff was excellent. I wish I could add more stars!!!!

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
