When hired in and on interviews Nuvista almost seems to good to be true.Management is extremely upbeat and positive throughout orientation. You enter the company with the impression that its a amazing company to work for .That changes almost immediately after you're hired in. As for the Culinary department the lack of knowledge to perform their jobs correctly, management seems to not possess the skills to run the department. The Culinary director is more like dictator that is not seasoned or a skilled Chef. Without the culinary director not possessing those skills the department is ran very poorly and excessive amounts of money wasted on the food budget on unneeded senseless purchase causes for a negative work environment. The favoritism shown throughout management and employees makes for a very uncomfortable work environment leaving the expression " If I disagree with one of the favored workers will I lose my job?". Management persuades favored employees into falsifying against unliked employees. You cannot bring your unsettling issues to HR.The unprofessional personal friendship between management and HR makes for a uncomfortable work environment.Leaving it hard to address issues. The consequences of speak out and trying to address issues are not worth it remaining quite is easier so your job is not in jeopardy. After great performance reviews, you're getting reprimanded for things everyone does, or being nitpicked for things the company didn't care about before. They're building a case to get rid of you for poor performance or trying to show a 'legitimate reason' to and making favored employees write false statements against you to build their "case" . If this company continues this false and illegal habits they continue to practice I am sure they will be shut down soon or at least pay out previous employees for the discrimination / stressful environment.

Unsafe facility. The medical director employs nurse practitioners with no medical experience in managing basic patient infections. The nurses unfortunately have no idea which way the "greater than" sign goes and therefore can not provide safe medications or apply clinical medicine. Please keep your loved ones away or they will end up with infections and return to the hospital.

Absolutely amazing!! Excellent PT and PT staff. Delicious meals with a lot of choices. Everyone kind and caring. Of course no place is perfect, but those who downgraded Nu Vista has not been anywhere else. All of the patients I came in contact with in the week I spent there loved the place. I'm

Having been a patient twice in Nuvista @ Wellington green I was so pleased with all! I had two total knee replacements and can't say enough about my PT! I was up and walking in no time thanks to the staff and therapists . I would recommend it to anyone . My husband was also a patient for knee revision. He was also very pleased. We both went to out patient which was exceptional! Our thanks to all!

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.
