Well, I think it's high time I gave this place a review. Had I done it a year ago, it would be different. As an employee of Brentwood, I give this place one star. I am most unhappy about some of the things that go on here. I have seen and heard many things. I work as a housekeeper and launderer. In my time and experience there, I can say that I have had some good days. However, I think I have had more bad than good. One day when I was first starting out, I had an emotional day and I was laughed at by some of the workers. How comforting. I feel that working in the department that I do, there is a lack of respect. I have heard a lot of things from a lot of people about everyone. I'm not going to lie, I have had my contributions. I should have expected better. To be honest, I am doing this review in the heat of the moment. An event from earlier today. But still, there is truth to it. I hate working weekends. There is always something, and my name gets mixed up in some of it. The weekend supervisor is rude and disrespectful at times. My supervisor is lazy and he knows it. Everyone knows this, but no one does anything about it. At this moment, I don't care about the consequences of this review because it may be seen just to be an angry rant from an employee. I will say, that the residents are nice. I'm glad I got to know them. Some of the workers are nice when everyone is getting along. There are very shady moments in conversations I hear. I'm tired of it though. I was very thankful to work here, but now, now I could care less. This just may be an angry rant, but don't take my word for it. Pay attention to your surroundings if you visit. The food they serve is delicious by the way.

I hated this place. My grandma loved the staff but they were not helping her. She got MAYBE 45 minutes of therapy a day if that. Sometimes she got none due to swelling which was actually fluid around her heart that they knew nothing about!

Horrible no phones for patients without family paying to have one installed, phone taken to patient by nurse who is always busy, no one to tell you how much a phone whoud cost, when I called Brentwood the phone rang 23 and 35 times before rudely answered, DICONNECTED BY STAFF TWICE, when you go in the inside smells like urine, food you would not call food, disrespect to patients, lack of care, lack of staff knowledge, think about where you want your loved one before you even consider this place check out ratings and medicare reports and inspections, check out US News report and ratings NOT THE PLACE YOU WANT YOUR LOVED ONE IF YOU TRULY LOVE THEM

They rarely answer the phones. Rooms are small and price is way too high for room. However, staff have always been nice and attentive to my dad.

I've always been warmly welcomed by the staff. Facility is clean and comfortable. Care is excellent.

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
No actual harm with potential for minimal harm A B C

Staffing Levels Per Resident per Day
