    Miserable place. Walking in you can see a number of health and safety violations. In the short time I spent visiting I witnessed an employee I believe to be named Ramona Meadows abuse a elderly woman and mock her to her face. If you care about your loved ones do not subject them to this kind of treatment.

    Avamere has started segregating their employees by giving out background checks to all employees that are foreign, Muslim, or a minority. If this is how they treat their staff imagine how they will treat your beloved family members. If they are willing to segregate employees that are hard working and are the least suspicious employees that work 40+ hour work weeks they will treat your beloved family member like crap. If you love your family member that needs help go to another place. The services they offer for the price that you pay out of pocket is atrocious. The place is bleak and if you have a family member that isn't 100% white american they will segregate them. I have warned you, please take caution.

    If you really want to take your advice from "joe thunda" then please it's your choice. I will tell you about my experience as a nurse who works here at Avamere. 1. To address the accusation of segregation. That is just not true. Yes we perform background checks on all employees because it is required by law. Also, would you want us to hire a person who has a history of abuse or a sex offender? Just saying. As far as we at Avamere are concerned we welcome all persons regardless of their nationality, race or creed provided they pass the background check that is provided to EVERYONE. 2. I believe our facility is homey and charming. Yes it is an older facility but it is well maintained and has a wonderful caring staff. As with all facilities we have our issues but we work very hard to overcome and fix all issues. Please don't listen to ranting of one disgruntled person. If you are looking for a ficility for a loved one or even yourself I encourage you to stop in for a visit and let us give you a tour. Let our actions and facility speak for its self and take caution when reading reviews that are negative. If you are looking for a job please visit our website and submit an application. Stop in and allow us to give you a tour. We are currently looking for good employees who have a passion for caring and good drive to take care of our resident population.
