    I have been living at West Suburban for over a year now. My health issues range from epilepsy to leukemia and anxiety. My health has improved under the care of the amazing nursing staff that work at the facility. Armin who is a nurse on my unit is the best in the business. The Administrator is approachable, friendly, and always makes time for the residents. I always feel that my voice is being heard and am supported when I need it. I highly recommend West Suburban for your rehab needs.

    I've lived here for almost seven years. When I first arrived, we had more CNA's than we do now. The food was better too--with hot soup at lunch and dinner. The nursing staff fluctuates: in that nurses come and go, which would happen at most facilities. My major concern is that we need more CNA's: they seem to come and go fairly quickly. It's hard work with not enough pay!! Some nurses are content to just "pass pills" and don't want to be emotionally invested in their residents' lives. I emphasize the word SOME. All seem well qualified. The "diamond in the rough" in this situation is our administrator, Allison. She is one of the hardest working--most caring individuals I've ever had the privilege of knowing! She loves working here very much. And THAT fact just might be enough to make the difference. She deserves the resident's respect and support!! I'm going to give her more time to make a difference. ?

    My mother in law is there for almost a year and the care and compassion is outstanding an the response time when she is in need is impeccable The care from everyone from the nurses all the way up to Alison the director makes me glad that we chose west suburban for my mother-in-law's rehab. I highly recommend west suburban nursing and rehab

    I do not recommend to place to anyone. This place does not care about taking care of peoples loved ones. They do not change or clean anyone on time. The place is completely understaffed. This would be the last place in hell to pick to care for someone you care about. The people that work there are rude and insensitive not only to the patient but to their family as well. This nursing home needs a new manager and employees.

    Speaking of west suburban. Many things have changed The new administrator Allison and social worker run this place With love and dedication. The nursing staff as well. I believe west suburban should be viewed as a facility for the many people that need care. Plus there's a beautiful lake to enjoy. Oh I might add I was here 2 years ago and after the hospital stay I chose to come back for rehabilitation.
