I came here for therapy. The therapy is really great. I went to another facility previously and couldn't go back. At this place, they worked with me and my situation and now I am home. I feel great and enjoyed working with everyone. The food was tasty and the staff was accommodating to my needs. The laundry service was good and a nice touch. The facility was clean and I felt safe and secure. I would recommend GE to others.

This place is absolutely disgusting. Mediocre staff who are not trained to do ANYTHING!!! My friend was transferred here with a colostomy bag. They continued to let it fill up and overflow so that feces was touching his skin and causing a rash. His food was brought to him on a dirty tray. He's sharing a room with a woman who moans loudly and another room mate who screams obscenities at her. After cleaning and replacing his bag, the dirty towels and equipment were left on his floor all night. In the middle of the night when he summoned help the nurse came in and asked "what is it?". What kind of facility is this? The floors are dirty, sheets aren't changed, bathrooms aren't clean. This place needs to be shut down IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!

Amazing facility. Thank you for the attention and care you provided to my father. He recovered quickly and enjoyed his stay. Great staff and super clean facility.

Looking for a skilled nursing facility for a loved one? Compassion, professionalism, sympathy, generosity are too small of words to describe The Grove of Evanston. Their nurses and CNA'S are by far the most compassionate individuals you can only dream of taking care of your loved ones. Their rehab staff are available 7days a week which most other facilities do not offer. They strive to provide the most help needed to help your loved ones heal faster. The housekeeping is hard working and always is working hard to provide a clean environment. Administration team is always welcoming and definitely makes you feel at home and every single person takes their time to get to know their patients and their families. The social works are always going above and beyond to ensure that every resident is treated right, respected and safe. I will definitely recommend The Grove of Evanston to anyone who needs it. Great job The Grove of Evanston , your hard work , professionalism, compassion, and everything else is highly appreciated. Please save your time and money if your a searching for the right skilled home for yourself or loved one ,The Grove is where to go.. Thank you.

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
