    I want to thank the staff here for taking great care of my husband while he recovered from hip replacement surgery. He was skeptical about going anywhere but glad we chose Forestview for his rehab. We had an excellent experience and the staff is friendly, food was great too. It was a nice home away from home. Thanks Forest view!

    This nursing facility is a hidden treasure! As a registered nurse and a nursing home administrator what you want for your loved one are caring dedicated staff and they can be found here! Our mom was a resident here for two and a half years and the personalized care she received was second to none. The staff were not only competent but listened to us and devised mom's care plan to include all of us as a family. Due to mom's disease process she declined and when we cried her caregivers cried along with us. This is when you know how truly special the folks at Forest View are. The administrator Margeaux is excellent and helps her residents and families in any way she can. She seems to always be there for you. Not only are the nursing staff excellent but all other departments as well. Social services, activities, laundry, housekeeping, maintenance, office and business office staff to the beautician who do all they can to make you happy. The folks at Forest View will always be in our hearts and we cannot thank them enough for all they did for us!

    IL Department of Public Health tells me the facility: - facility failed to provide wound care treatment, -failed to follow physician's orders and plan of care for wound care, -failed to ensure hand hygiene, -failed to thoroughly investigate injury, -facility failed to ensure residents are free of physical restraints, -failed to follow their Abuse Prohibition policy for hiring staff members.

    They must have changed their name, used to be The Arbor. My mom died here. Despite having a few good caretakers, it was a horrible place. The management kept decreasing the number of staff members to the point of their not being able to properly care for residents. Some of the staff were horrible, almost appeared to have mental issues - screaming and yelling even at me. The food was enough to kill the residents. Sloppy Joe's and Frito's for dinner??? I never saw them serve good food, and I was there 2-3 days / wk. After 2 years, my mom was dying of heart failure, had difficulty breathing, and they were trying to give her a breathing treatment!! They did not even know. She ended up telling them, "I am dying!" But they did not call me, I got there too late. This is an institution of death.
