    Florence nursing home is the greatest! I'm a long time Marengo resident and had to go to this wonderful skilled nursing facility for some rehabilitation after a recent knee replacement. I was beyond pleased with the services I received here. The therapy and nursing staff are very attentive and helped me so much with regaining my independence to be able to return home after a short stay there. The administrator Kathy is very nice and she made sure that my stay at Florence was great and addressed any questions that I had. I would recommend Florence nursing home to anyone! Thank you for everything you did. -Ruth H.

    This place is an utter embarrassment of a facility. It's appearance for one looks like a run down and dirty building. But more importantly is the care or lack of that is provided. The staff is poorly knowledgeable of how to treat patients. Other times it looks as if they flat out don't care. Bedding for your family most likely will not be changed regularly if at all. Also I have seen staff at the nursing desk sitting on their phones when multiple requests for help have been made. If you bring a family member here it's most likely giving them a slow death sentence, because very little work is performed here, but they have no problem taking your money though.

    Staff don't give a damn about your family and do the bare minimum to keep them from being caught from getting nothing done. It's disgusting inside and rare to find nurses up to tend to patients.
