I have a family member residing at Palm Terrace and I must say that although she may not be the best patient or easiest to work with, she is extremely well treated here. She is usually very outspoken with complaints about nursing homes, hospitals, and staff, but she has been very positive about her time so far at Palm Terrace. This is the happiest I have seen her in several years. We are very appreciative to the director and staff.

Came to visit my Aunt and a man was trying to shove food in her mouth while screaming at her right in her face. I then said HI were her family. He immediately looked shocked. They would move her room around and take all of her pictures down and never put them back up they'd put them in the closet. She was in no condition to be moved and they moved her all the time. This place is HORRIBLE. If I could've taken care of my aunt myself I would've because leaving her in the hands of this place was so horrifying. They definitely don't take care of their patients. I even spoke to a nurse who quit working there because she said they didn't treat their patients right or have the things they needed to care for their patients. Very sad place. Oh and every time we'd come she'd have atleast 5-10 cards and pictures people had sent to her unopened. So the small amount of joy that could be given to their patients by opening a letter or mailing one for them isn't! They don't care at all about their patients.

Try and hire in new people so they can't clock in. Work them for 5 hrs than find a reason to send them home so They don't have to pay you. First day there got they got sent home because there is apparently no one else there to train except 1 person. Waste of time!

Compare The Number of Problems
Types of Problems at Nursing Homes
Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy | G | H | I |
