I love most the residents they are so very sweet and kind, they all remind me of my grandparents and I love talking to them, hearing stories and getting their opinions on things I'm experiencing in life, in the other hand alot of the workers are rude, tell on others for things they do themselves, it's like they pick on certain employees and it's very unfair. If you say something it doesn't fix the issues and when you do great work try your very best and even get lots of compliments from the residents that they love your hard work and do a wonderful job, it seems as though it doesn't matter to the higher up only seem to point out the negative things and not the positive. Now how are you suppose to feel good about what you do and all the hard work you put in it's like it doesn't matter so makes you feel like " what's the point" that's all I hear is negative, but there are nice people there don't get me wrong just wish more credit would be given when the hard work and credit is due, and some employees don't realize just how much US!!! Housekeeper!! Do and clean and how long it actually does take to do a certain job or task, may sound like it's simple and easy but trust me it's much more then people think it involves! Fairhaven is pretty nice the residents make it pleasant. Thanks

Ok, so let me tell you why you want to listen to MY review. It's simple. My wife is a CNA there. If ANYone in the world would have motivation to tell you the truth about a care facility, its the SPOUSE of a CNA that works there. Haha! My wife has worked as a CNA for about 8 years or so now. Couple different places in Wisconsin when we lived there, and one other place here in Rockford until she got hired at Fairhaven. She has seen the good, the bad, and the ugly in care facilities. And there have been good in other places, as well as bad. Overall, Fairhaven is the best place she's ever worked as a CNA. Not perfect. But the BEST she's ever experienced. She's been there a little over a year now. And the staffing is consistently good. They give yearly reviews and raises, it appears. They give you bonus pay if you come in to cover for someone who calls in, and time and a half if your workday falls on a holiday. Also free gas cards for those working holidays at times, it seems, and other just random nice things that a lot of places are phasing out, but not Fairhaven. I also am a local pastor who has several parishoners who live at Fairhaven and they speak well of it also. So I'm convinced. Nice job Fairhaven. It takes courage to run a place well. Keep it up!

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
No actual harm with potential for minimal harm A B C
