    Considering the only review is from a board member and is what the rating is based on I think that a true review should be done so that people are aware of what this facility is like before putting your loved ones here. It's like a concrete old gym in a school.The rooms are old and concrete and not warm and loving or comfortable in any way. 2 people are expected to share a small space with one closet for both and one tv in the center. The clients there are not cleaned well, the facility smells like urine and furniture is covered in urine. The rehabilitation lady Sue is amazing, I will give them that but other staff (not all) are hovering around desks and few attending patients. Older ladies that are staffed there seem to be attentive but the younger staff not so much and are not helpful to the visiting family members. I personally would not ever put someone I love in this place, not unless I didn't like them and even then I'd feel bad. This is not a slanderous statement, just fact. Please visit it to see for yourself!

    We recently admitted a relative to Prairie Village. We visited all nursing facilities in Washington and chose PV for its location, staff and courtyard. We have visited early morning, late evening and everything in between. We have found the staff caring and efficient to all clients on the wing we visit. Social Services, rehab, nurses and all staff have been responsive to our questions and concerns. We have been present for breakfast, lunch and dinner and found the meals well prepared and practical. Renovation is underway and the walls and floors look great! The wooded view outside our relatives window is complete with an active bird feeder. We are completely satisfied and feel sure we have made the correct choice in choosing PV, and would advise anyone looking for a caring facility to consider Prairie Village Nursing & Rehab as a good choice.
