Horrible place. Do not send your loved ones here. We video taped staff not caring for our grandfather at all. They were suppose to check on him every 2 hours. Nobody checked on him for 5 hours and he was lying on the floor for TWO hours. He then had pneumonia and they weren't giving him his meds. They would then lie to us and tell us they would come check on him and NOBODY came to check on him. We have proof on our video camera. Staff is completely incompetent. Not only that, they are ROUGH when they literally sling the patient out of the bed in the morning. And they left him sitting in his wheelchair for 3 hours. Again, proof on our video. We have already reported them to the state board. Do not send anyone here.

Worst facility ever... They can careless about their patients They only do what they have to do. Nothing is done with care. Everything is just basic procedure.

Fantastic nursing home, I would feel comfortable having any of my family member's here. While at Heritage Manor, the staff will make you feel like their first priority. Great therapy team & facility staff. Would give my highest review!

Horrible. While at this facility in the Alzheimer's unit, my father was thrown out of his bed by a guy, then he pulled his stomach tube out. Then this inexperienced nurse comes in and uses her finger to put his tube back in. Not smart. My father was lost on his journey to the hospital.then is rushed to the Baton Rouge General. Unfortunately, my father died from sepsis due to that inexperienced Heritage Manor staff member. All of his organs shut down? Very disappointed in the lack of care at this facility. Will never recommend this facility to anyone.

Fines, Complaints, and Inspection Problems in the Past 3 Years

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
No actual harm with potential for minimal harm A B C
Heritage Manor Of Baton Rouge has not received any fines, complaints, or inspection problems in the last 3 years.
