    My father was there for only a month for rehab after falling. He was frequently left in a chair for hours, threatened with pulling out his call button if he pressed it and developed a foot wound from the metal inside his bed. The wound became MRSA infected. A doctor never saw him and it got to his blood and he was rushed to the hospital and almost died. He was in the hospital for 2 weeks with IV antibiotics and we chose not to send him back. The administrator, Jim Mathews, not only denied the complaints, but threatened to kick my father out and tried to ban me from the home for complaining to the state ombudsman. I had to contact Jim Mathews' boss to receive some assurances that the complaints would be looked into, but my dad developed MRSA before it all could be looked into. Mr. Mathews never offered an apology for the threats and unprofessional behavior that his boss promised. If the horrible treatment and complaints are not taken seriously, and they are afraid of the ombudsman looking into it, then you know there is a problem.
