By far one of the most caring and compassionate nursing facilities in the area. I oversee education and infection prevention in the state of Massachusetts and I have had friends and loved ones stay here. Without fail this center has provided quality care to all - Wonderful team of nurses and CNAs who always put their best efforts forward even in the face of long term care staffing challenges that are noticed across the entire state. Every time I walk onto a unit here I am greeted by smiling staff and a clean building. Their rehab unit also has a dedicated hospice wing with excellent coordination with a hospice team to provide the best end of life care. Highly recommend to anyone looking for long term care for their loved one, or rehab for a short-stay.

I have been a Genesis Employee for over 14 years and I appreciate working at Elaine Center. It is such a joy to observe staff on a daily basis - touching the lives of our seniors by providing them with additional support, yet fostering an active lifestyle with meaning and purpose. I continue feel blessed that I am working with a team who shares my desire to serve with empathy and compassion.

The Elaine Center is the best facility around here for people like me who need extra help...it truly is excellent. The place is nice and the majority of the staff here are really great. The facility saved my life. I came to the Elaine Center from another facility that was not so great and I was really sick and the staff at this center brought me back to life. The management team is great too, I really like the executive director.

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
