This place is horrible. They do not seem to care about their patients. It is just a pay check to them. They gave my father the wrong medication and made him really sick. They never seem to know what's going on and won't answer questions or give details. My father seems to be scared of them like they are abusing him. He has cancer and they don't cater to this at all! They have horrible food and even give them soda! It's so disgusting and upsetting. This is where elderly people go to die in depression.

My mother is currently living here. She is a diabetic and they never have sugar free foods and drinks. She is also a partial amputee. The aids do not care about changing her commode, they go through her things while she is at dialysis among other sketchy things. There is so much wrong with this place if you care about the person you are considering sending here, DON'T DO IT. I'm currently on the phone with them trying to check on my mother for the day and I've been on hold 15 minutes already. This place is just horrible.

My mom was transferred there since mid April and for a couple of weeks later they didn't clean her urine, that's neglect! Why don't they have the fully trained nurses til she was asking to be changed.....I want to know which nurse or cna did this to her! The oaks is better!

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
