    My mother is in the locked unit and although no nursing facility is perfect, the nurses here and administration has really been great working with us. This is my mother's 4th place because she was being difficult (dementia) and they have managed her really well without over-medicating. They are cautious re: medication and call my mother's guardian before making ANY change. Nice group of people that care.

    I only gave one star cause it was the only way to write a comment. I cant say anything good cause my dad has only been there 3 days and its horrible!! First let me start that the big shots there like managers of facility and directors arent there for 3days Friday,saturday and sunday! Second the nurses are really mean, rude ! One manager said i cant be bothered i have alot of work if patient isnt dying dont call me. She was saying that about my dad cause needed help giving him a bath! My dad gets out of bed at 1pm in the afternoon cause they state they havd no help and that there is other patients. The food looks like pig slop something you give the pigs on farm to eat!! My dad has lost three pounds in three days!! My dad rings the bell tons of times, they ignore him and shut it off and tell him we only have two people for 40 patients. They tell him that he is tenth in line as if he was on a waiting list or won a raffle ticket. My dad ask for assistance to wash his body and face and head , they told him you wash yourself its good exercise for you!! My dad can still urinate and pass bowel movements and they put a diaper on him telling him that they dont have help to clean him or take him to the bathroom!! People there have no empathy or sympathy for anyone!! I pray that one day someone doesnt do that to them!! The patients are in the hallway, hard to walk or get by to go visit my dad. Like i have to walk through a landmine. Saw patient tilted on wheelchair , five nurses walked by and no one said let me fix him/her. They didnt even bother!! Please if you read this select something better if there is anything better. Pay for private help if you can afford it or use there income! They supported you so please support them now!! Fight for your parent!! Fight with insurance why your parent shouldnt go to meadowview! Do something for them cause they cant fight for themselves!!
