Ms. Gertrude Is an excellent GNA! She is extremely kind, gentle and caring. She reliably executes her duties every day. Not only does she take care of the clients, But she always inquires of the family member in the room if there's something more she can do to help. In the event that I am not able to make my daily visits, I am comforted to know that she will be the GNA on duty.

My mom hit a few bumps her first day in the facility, and management rectified the problems and now my mom is happy. Mom said the staff has been kind, caring, and attentive. I really enjoyed witnessing the interaction between my mom and her physical therapist when I visited my mom late Friday afternoon. Knowing that my mom is happy and taken care of is what matters to me. I thank the management of ManorCare for being proactive, and soothing any concerns that my family had.

My mother was recently admitted here at Manor Care Health Largo for a short term rehab and I was not pleased at all. First thing when she arrived it was late and when I went in her room she was in a dirty hospital gown. And I feel that if I had not coming that night, I really don't know how long she would have been in that condition. Secondly, she had a leak in her feeding tube and I mentioned that when she first arrived the first day . However, it took them 3 days to determined that something needed to be addressed. When they did decide to send her to the ER they never notified the family. I was on my way for my daily visit and the nurse said your mom is going to be transferred to Emergency Room. Had it not been for her room mate keeping me updated daily, I would have not known what they were doing with my mom. Also, when my mother was sent to the hospital claimed they did not know she was coming and we had to wait from 8 pm until 4 am to get my mom in the room. Lastly, once she went out for treatment no one followed up with the family to check on her, but, I did receive a call from admission stating they can hold her room for $375 per day. Since my mom had a stroke several years ago, she is not able at times to speak her concerns. So if you have someone that needs total care, please do not send them to this place. However, all the therapist were good.

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
