My mother Judy felt very well cared for. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. They have gone out of their way to even build lasting friendships with my mother and us kids. They have been very friendly and made her feel loved, special, and at home. She has been there for 4 months and will really miss the staff as she is leaving tomorrow. East Side Rehab is amazing!!! We love them all, Susan and Shirley

Negligence is an understatement for the care of my father! Nursing staff is horrible should have the licences revoked!

My mother has been at a couple of facilities, however Eastside was by far the best. The entire staff was amazing. They took time to talk to the family. They treated our mother with great respect and compassion. However with a heavy heart she lost her fight today.

So many wonderful changes over the past year! It's a friendly family atmosphere. Staff truly care about the residents and patients. Wonderful nursing and therapy staff! Great place for Long Term Care or Short term Skilled Rehab.

Although it is located in Bangor, people from all over the great State of Maine are served at this home. Nobody ever wants to be placed in a Nursing Facility, but if you must, make it in a facility with a family-like atmosphere that's full of people who aren't perfect, but are kind, genuine and caring.

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
