    A truly honest review of this place, would be to give it NEGATIVE stars... but you have to give at least one to leave one star to leave a review. This place has a lot wrong with it but here's some... 1. The facility shamelessly putting its own profits in front of its residents. (They are spending 500 thousand on a making the dinning room smaller to make a new Rehab center, because that can make them more money; half the place is falling apart, the equipment is old and mostly broken and the kitchen cant even get enough food for the residents meals, but they're getting a new rehab center?) 2. CNAs that all believe that what you learn in your CNA course is "not how you do things" 3. CNAs that will "learn to not care about your residents." as they would say. 4. Nurses that dont know how to not pop pills into their hands, or how to lock the med cart, or how to not actually YELL AND SCREAM at the residents. 5. If your loved one needs ANY sort of transfer help or what would be called "excessive care", they will be seen as a burden and ignored and left alone as much as possible. 6. 3rd shift staff that sleeps on the job. 7. CNAs using 2 briefs on 1 residents at a time or "double-briefing" The Medilodge of East Lansing will continue to delete its negative comments in a pathetic attempt to "spot clean" that places reputation. The Administrator and DON will look you in the eyes and lie to your face. The only award that place is going to win is "Most Number of Times States Has To Be In The Building" **And if you go to management or anyone for complaints or they find out you called states on them, they will punish you for it. (which is illegal) Disclaimer: This is not intention for anyone to otherwise leave their possible employment at this workplace, nor for anyone to move from there. This is just an honest review of the company.

    First, understaffed and dirty. The level of direct care is lacking. 2 hours on a bed pan is ridiculous. A resident laying in bed until 2pm is unacceptable. The food quality is less than appetizing. Missing parts for a wheelchair? Reallly? How can you possibly justify that? Second, that said, the staff are friendly and well meaning but too few. Laatly, Ive noticed that all but One negative review has been removed.

    I am a practicing physician in Lansing. I have dealt with the staff and the catastrophic outcomes resulting from the complete lack of care and compassion by the staff at this facility. DO NOT EVER LET YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS STAY AT THIS FACILITY!
