It was difficult for me to put my husband there, but soon they made him and I feel very welcome. We were treated very kindly and got to know some very special people that work there. (Nicole &i Billie). Many others too. Now they all have a special place in my heart which I'll never forget. I also got to know two patients that were so sweet and kind to us. I only know their first names: Billie and Bob! I'll never forget any of them!! Bless them all!!

PLEASE Do NOT allow your loved ones to go here! Do yourself and them a huge favor and ask around Gaylord. Or go there and ask family members of loved ones that are already there questions. Don't believe any positive review you see on here as it is likely an employee or the owner. My step father walked in under his own power 11 days later he passed away. Because of his age (80) an autopsy was not performed, but I am 100% confident his death was solely their responsibility.

They over medicated my Father-in-law to the point where he was drooling and lethargic. He was admitted on Jan. 1 2016 he walked in under his own power completely unassisted. Jan. 12 2016 he passed away. The Dr. prescribed a drug he hadn't been on before and although my Mother-in-law (He had early stages dementia and she was his court appointed guardian.) She stated she didn't want him to be given that drug they continued to give it to him. My Mother-in-Law told them she was going to take him out of there and they told her if she did Medicare would not cover any of his car while he was there and she would be responsible for the bill.

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
No actual harm with potential for minimal harm A B C
