The atmosphere and energy at Friendship Village is unmatched. It is a wonderful establishment that is able to meet your needs no matter what level of care you need. All of the team members are ready and willing to address any concerns and answer any questions. I highly recommend Friendship Village to anyone searching for a senior living community that feels more like a vacation home.

I would not recommend working for this establishment, it's not how well you do your job, it's who you know(or married to). I worked there for a year and a half and did my job to the best of my ability every day. Then they decided to hire another person into the department I worked in that shows up every day smelling like he just left the bar. Mind you this is 7 o'clock in the morning. My job was terminated for supposedly sabotaging him. So if you think about applying here don't.

The worst company i have worked for by far. The residents are great. But thats about all i can say about this place. No one should ever be treated the way i was at this job. I worked for the environmental services. The grounds supervisor was my boss and singled me out every single day. Constantly raising his voice at me and accusing me of doing things wrong or not listening when 99% of the time he forgot what his instructions were to me. That kind of behavior is unacceptable and nothing was ever done about it. He still works there. Other things that made this an unwelcoming place to work. Cruel treatment, (singled out and treated like trash) favoritism, (some employees get more privileges and treated better then others) broken promises (they do not keep their word) no opportunity to move up (others including myself denied from getting interviews for internal jobs) no order (people get away with whatever they want). The turnover rate is also high in a few departments I've noticed. Thats all i have to say. If your thinking about working here think twice about it.

Have been working here almost 5 years. I enjoy it, there is room for growth and change. No where is perfect but I see myself staying long term here.

My mother spent 6 of her last years in Assisted living and immensely enjoyed the programs, facilities, and caring staff.

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
No actual harm with potential for minimal harm A B C
