    I recently stayed in the guest room at Aftenro while visiting my mom from out of town. At first I thought the nice people I met were flukes of some sort, but during my stay it became abundantly clear that the staff was made up of some extraordinary individuals. Providing for the needs of elderly patients around the clock must be a supremely challenging career choice, but in the week I was there I never met anyone who showed any sign of not loving their work and their residents. I honestly could not be happier with the care my mother is receiving at Aftenro. Knowing that she is in such good hands provides me much peace of mind, especially since I am two time zones away and cannot check in frequently. Regarding those who have registered brief complaints here...I suspect these are folks who would not be happy anywhere.

    What a great place!! This is the most beautiful setting for a senior residence and the wonderful care staff is beyond friendly and helpful. My loved one greatly enjoyed the privacy of the rooms, the walking paths and the friendships he made here. I guess being around as long as they have, they sure know what they are doing!!

    I have visited Aftenro on a monthly basis, and find it to have a pleasant atmosphere and residents who for the most part are happy and satisfied with the residence.

    The food is awful and all the nurses are REALLY mean and I think they steal money from the patients living there. They also put off taking patients to the emergency room when they need to be taken in! Take your loved ones somewhere else!!!
