    I'm a registered nurse and have been employed here for 5 years. I've held many positions and am currently the wound nurse. I'm giving a 5 star because our wound healing is incredible. We admit many wounds including those requiring negative pressure wound therapy (wound vac) with great success. Pressure wounds are very difficult to heal but we take all the steps to move them in the right direction. Our interdisciplinary team works diligently together to ensure that our residents get the proper positioning, supplemental nutrition and universal precautions for alleviation of infections. I can personally speak on the wounds as I'm nurse that closely monitors the progress. We had a resident admit with 8 wounds, and within 2 months, only 3 wounds left and within one year completely heal a stage 4 pressure wound. That's pretty remarkable. I also have to speak on the Nursing staff. We have some incredible CNAs and Nurses that truly love our residents and go above beyond to meet their needs. Our in house therapy staff is incredible and works extremely hard to get our residents back home! In a world where there is so many choices, I'm happy I chose to stay here!

    Just brought grandma home from a 3 week stay for rehab. Between her hospitalization and her stay at the nursing home it's been over 2 months since she had her stroke and has been home. We were not sure this day would ever come. Thank you Big Bend Woods for the great care and getting mom where she needed to be to get home! I hope we never need you again but if we do we already know where she will go!!!

    Just recently started working here. So far had no issues with anyone. Most of the staff is very nice polite and ready to jump in for help with anything. All departments really I think I am comparing with my last job it was horrible. When I just started it looked small I don't think I liked it so I kept applying other places got hired somewhere else with $2 more pay but decided to stay since I really enjoy working here. Thank you all. Keep up good work ??

    I came here for one week after a double knee replacement. The therapy was incredible with professional therapists that really know what they're doing. You can tell that all the staff really enjoy what they do and care about their patients. The food was great with different choices for every meal.

    This place has great and caring staff. I would be happy to refer this place for someone to come for rehab. The staff is always going above and beyond to make the patients stay the best possible. It is a great environment for healing and to recover from an illness. They are compassionate with their skilled rehab patients as well as there long term care patients. Staff makes you fell welcomed and will see to your needs in a very caring way.
