    We are three weeks in and we have had some bumps but overall it is a good facility. It is clean but like anywhere, even your home, it has to be cleaned daily to keep the smell down, especially when you are sharing a bathroom with three other residents (semi-private rooms). The only thing I don't like is they do not have showers in the bathroom, but other than that it is a good facility. The employees are friendly and very helpful when asked. The administrative staff is also friendly and pleasant.

    My mother is currently recovering at this facility after a near fatal bowel perforation required emergency surgery in January 2017. I live out of the country so I am only able to communicate with her and my father by phone. I am so disturbed that almost every night since she has arrived, it has been a nightmare. Almost every morning that my dad arrives my mother has been marinating in her own feces all night. She has continuously been ignored and neglected. Nurses refuse to change her dressing and her bedding. My father and brother have been changing her and emptying her ileostomy bag because no nurses are to be found. I am so saddened and disgusted that after all my mom has been through, her rehab and recovery is just as awful. Today on Mother's Day I was not able to speak to my mother because the nurses were unable to change her dressing last night because they said they ran out of supplies. When I called to wish my mom a happy Mother's Day she was already too far gone on morphine because she had had such a horrible night. This has been going on for weeks. Occasionally, my father has told me that there are a few competent nurses. I thank God for them. I just hope that my mother can survive long enough to make it out of this facility alive. This establishment should be ashamed of the ridiculously low quality of care that they offer their patients. 1 star is a generous review.

    This place is terrible! It is very nasty and dirty. The entire building smells like pee, I dont understand how people even work in this building. Reception never answered the phone despite a circle full of nurses at the desks every time I came for a visit. I posted a picture of the floor fron 06/19/17. My father died within 1 week of being at this disgusting place and I had to wait 5 days for the doctor to sign his death certificate. I had to wait to cremate my father because the doctor left without signing and went on vacation! Dont take any person to this place!

    I love working for Mecklenburg health and rehab. It is a great place to work. We strive for customer service and team work....STAFF FIRST PRIORITY IS RESIDENTS...WE LOVE AND TAKE PRIDE IN WHAT WE DO
