    If we could have we would have placed my brother-in-law here before he passed away. Lava Jackson is remarkable social worker! Of all the facilities and hospital visits and stays, she was the most informative regarding what my brother-in-law was experiencing with his illness. By understanding what he was going through it made it easier to understand how to take care of him. This made a huge impression on my daughter. The staff we met were helpful and caring. We followed up with Lava after my brother-in-law passed and she helped us by talking about coping and giving my daughter ways to honor and cherish her uncle's memory.

    The new administrator is the most uncaring person I have ever met.she couldn't wait to get me out of her nasty dirty office when I had a complaint abot my mothers care. Her staff never smiles. This building has gone hill drastically she came. All the good people that were there have left because of her. The care there now is horrible. People left in wet and dirt diapers. Not getting fed properly. The company should get rid of her and get someone who knows what the are doing. No one answe call bell. Nurses and cnas don't care. I will be moving my mother somewhere else. Not using my real name because of retaliation

    Please shut this place down. Nurses don't care!!! Went to visit my grandmother tonight and she didn't have air conditioning along with half the residents! Complained to the nurses and one of them literally shoved a form in my face and told me to get away. We got into it and she told me she had a gun in her car.... I demanded that she treat my grandmother correctly and she told me she had a gun in her car! The union county sherrifs department had a designated sheriff to respond to this facility because of how often these things happen

    My mother was at Lake Park for 16 months until she passed away last week. The staff is absolutely top notch and they seem to have hired even more, highly qualified caregivers over the last year. I was on site a lot (often daily), and observed what was happening even when the staff didn't know I was observing. The more I saw the more impressed I was with this facility and with the care and concern they have for their residents. My mother loved all of the folks who cared for her. Lake Park is always clean and does not smell like a nursing home or like bleach/cleaning solutions. The rooms are larger than what we found when visiting other nursing homes. The facility was renovated right before Mom moved in and is a lovely place. Before Mom got so sick, she enjoyed participating in Bingo, Crazy 8s and other fun activities. When I had concerns about changes in Mom's health, the nurses were all over it and were great about following up with me and/or the doctor. On the flip side, when they observed changes in Mom...same thing--they were all over it and notified me right away. Great job Lake Park! Thank you for the care you gave my sweet Mom.
