    My parents moved in 20 years ago to a lovely 2 bedroom unit. They were fully immersed in the activities and workshops Kendal offers until my Dad died. After that my mom required more assistance which she has received in the Assisted Living wing, and now in Nursing care. We visit regularly and are always impressed by the care from the staff. We also LOVE the food and wish we had that variety and quality here at home. Can't recommend it highly enough.

    My aunt, Esther Morris, lived at Kendal for several years in the 2000s until her death. She moved there to be closer to her daughter & for Alzheimer's care for her husband Mark. I visited her there several times. Kendal was very accommodating to their needs for different levels of care and accommodations. After Mark's death, my aunt, who had been a docent in Santa Barbara, gave tours of the artwork that residents hung in the hallways near their doors. Thus, she was able to have the kind of community interactions that they had enjoyed in California. If I had a daughter living near there, I'd move to Kendal myself.

    Decent pay and benifits but ALOT of silly politics.Half the kitchen staff failed the simple serv safe test 6 mos ago in 2017 when I was there.Can't speak of the care but future kitchen experienced applicants BEWARE!!I was hired by an actual chef and when he left we were supposed to have a vote on who we wanted in house to replace him.When word got out we were gonna write the name in of a cook who was 10 times more qualified and 20 times more liked than the eventual unqaulified unprofessional sous chef who ended up getting the job we weren't allowed to vote and that's not the way to run a successful kitchen.Very sad because this place if run properly had a lot of potential

    I would give a zero if I could. My grabdparents have been here for forever. The farm house sucks. The rules change regularly. It's insane. The beds are horrible. I had to go see a chiropractor after our visit. The farm house stay is over 200 a night. You apparently get meals at the caffe but we never got one meal. We were made to be an info vinence the entire time. It was stupid. Do not stay here. Days in is 79 dollars a night. Go elands here
