Hello.. I am new to area , broke my talus bone in foot doing yard work last Sunday. I was a little apprehensive as I read a few so-so reviews, but I was in tremendous pain so my husband took me to closest ER...The reviews I read were 100 percent opposite of my wonderful experience there! I was a little cranky to registration person because of my pain, she was so helpful and empathetic to me, and her name escapes me.. Also, Dr. Ronald Guzas; Nurse Nicole Vigoroto; Nurse Earl Diaz; the CT person, and anther nurse who was on the shift for an hour when I first had gotten there , blond hair, name escapes me, they were very professional, kind, empathetic to my pain and situation. I had superb care from all of them! They are a most definite asset to the hospital. In closing, I hope I don't have to frequent an ER in the near future, but if I do, I would not have one ounce of apprehension returning here for superb care. Thank you all so much! Kim O'Neill

This is without a doubt the worst establishment I've ever been too. This was the first hospital visit I've ever had. I went here with severe hand pain late at night. After waiting a few hours to be seen (no big deal, hospitals do it all the time) the 'doctor' felt my hand, assessed it for maybe a minute or so, and replied there was nothing she could for me other than give me a Rx for a $500 hand cream NOT covered by insurance (that "may or may not work") and sent me on my way. Sufficed to say, I didn't bother with it. Fast forward two years later, I'm STILL dealing with this hospital sending out my information to debt collection agencies for 'debts' that were paid off IMMEDIATELY after the hospital visit. I even paid hundreds of dollars OVER the initial amount for the hospital visit just to get them off my back, which obviously didn't work. I've emailed, called, and spoken to so many hospital officials and debt collectors I can't keep my head straight. They STILL spam my voicemail and send letters to my house. I have even moved since then, and these monsters STILL found us!! If you're dying, and this is the closest hospital, I promise you, your'e better off staying where you are and waiting it out or just finding another hospital. If I could give this place negative stars I would. I've never seen anything like this place in my life.

Beware if you are taking Kids to this hospital. I took my 6 years old son for stomach pain. they took all the scans and whatever test they want and they did it. Later part they moved my son to Morris town hospital for discharge summary. Morris town doctor asked us why Saint clare's doctor took CAT scan instead of Ultrasonic scan for small kid. After few days later I got a big bill to pay for their excellent service. Be careful with their ambulance service they will claim as a out of network then you will end up paying double the cost of normal bill. This hospital don't have their ambulance service, therefore Aetna insurance will be processing as a out of network insurance - in this case you will end up paying more money than your hospital bill.

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
No actual harm with potential for minimal harm A B C
