    Absolutely pleased with the care my mother has been given. All of the staff are very attentive and caring from the moment you walk through the front entrance. The doctors, nurses, assistants, housekeeping, therapists, social workers... they all work together to get your loved one back on their feet and self-reliant... in my case. The facility is very clean, it's new, the meals for the residents are quite tasty in my opinion. These kind of facilities can be quite challenging, but from what I've seen on a daily basis over close to three weeks, they do a great job.

    I don't believe that I have unrealistic expectations when it comes to sub-acute rehab, however, even with those standards Roosevelt Care Center GREATLY disappointed me and my family. I had my 91 year-old grandmother go there and could not believe the impatience, incompetence and attitude of the staff. On more than a handful of occasions we were left waiting 30-35 minutes for someone to come and toilet her, several times I would get a phone call from her crying (this was not usual for her) that they forgot about her so I myself would call the nurses station explaining that she needed to use the bathroom and they would STILL take an additional 30 minutes to go and help her. Aside from that the staff (not all, but enough in my opinion) were rude and seemed to consider med pass the only part of their job that mattered. The issue with response time and sheer rudeness of some of the staff were not the only issues we faced during her time there; they didn't consider her 10 lb weight loss to be concerning and when I asked for the doctor to be contacted because we found it concerning I was told by the nurse, " you have to call yourself since that is a family concern." How her weight loss does not concerning to her medical team really baffled me. Aside from several apologies during our stay nothing was actually addressed or made better.
