    My grandmother has been at the villages for about 7yrs if not longer and I've got to say it use to be so much better when the county owned it. I understand since it went to a private owner that money is a issue but somethings you can't sacrifice. The staff is caring but the turnover is terrible. There seems to be a issue with keeping employees. I have had to go to the administrator for a few things and he has been very helpful. He did the things my grandma needed very fast. I appreciated that. The HR personal is very helpful also. The food service there could be much better. Not the employees but the food itself. My grandma complains about it all the time. All and all the villages is a decent place to have your loved ones at but could be better. I appreciate all they have done for my grandma but you do have to stay on top of things and voice your complaints and opinions.

    There is a lot to like about this facility. My Mom has been here for better than 6 years and for the most part has been taken care of quite well. The staff is quite caring. Nurses and aides have been thoughtful and supportive. There have been exceptions and I have really tried to stay on top of my mother's concerns. I have found the family does need to voice their concerns or objections in order to facilitate change. The biggest distraction has been the turnover in personnel over the time she has been there. This was a County run facility but a change to a private ownership has led to tremendous turnover of employees. That has truly been a challenge. Administration has changed two or three times but I can say they try to run a nice place for the residents. The facility is very clean and well kept inside. Outside its not as nice as when the County owned it in terms of landscaping and decoration. Activities are good but not as generous as when the County owned it. Of course, being a private ownership has likely put more focus on profit so this may be understandable. All said, my Mom just celebrated her 100th birthday and the care at the Villages of Orleans has been outstanding and certainly has extended her life and well being. I am appreciative of the care this facility has offered. I would recommend it as a place for elderly care. I would say in closing that their food service is for the most part lacking in a healthy and delightful offering for the resident. Too many complaints from Mom and I have seen the food first hand. I wouldn't eat a lot of it. I know there is a kitchen there but not sure how its used. Food preparation could be boosted by a 3 to 4 star level. I give it a 2 right now. Work on it guys! Takes money but it is very important.

    My dad has been in here for the past eight months and has received outstanding care.The staff is very caring and loving.They keep me very informed. He is very happy here. I am very happy and pleased and would highly recommend the villages.

    Very rude staff in the dimensia area! Was not pleased with there actions on how to answer questions. Hopefully soon they will get some better employees in that area.

    Mother has been here for a week. Everyone is very friendly. They come in all the time to see how she is doing. Nice place if you have a loved one that needs extra care.
