    I managed to give this nursing home two stars basically because of the therapy department that did a great job for a family member who was there between April 22 and May 12 this year. The rehab male slim doctor only saw my family on the day of his admission and he was such a very rude, arrogant and non compassionate doctor who never care to manage the blood pressure issue of my brother and this resulted into a more severe issue the next day my brother was discharged. I will never recommend this place to anybody. Be careful when you have to be in this place and pray for the best.

    If you want your elderly love one to die a slow painful death this is the place for them. My elderly grandmother was here for about 2+ years. She was charged $40 for each nightgown (4) they purchased(what nightgown cost that much? Can you see where the fraud starts? . When I went to visit her one day, they were ragged and had holes in them. The hallways smell like urine. The aides are rarely helpful. When my grandmother necklace was stolen they claim it probably went missing in the laundry. We ask the doctor and the charge nurse why her hands were turned in they said arthritis. My grandmother were getting mini strokes all that time and physicians weren't smart enough to pick up on the symptoms. My personal opinion, they didn't care because that wasn't their loved one. It's ironic because this nursing home is in Riverdale in the Bronx, surrounded by million dollar homes, you would think differ. Unfortunately it's just another nursing home doing medicare fraud(it's in the papers and web). If your love one is elderly and long term please take them somewhere else, otherwise they will take their check and stuff it in their pockets. If they are alert and short term then maybe this place would be more suitable for them because behind the scenes the abuse won't occur so frequently. I work in healthcare and a professional, and I work with real doctors and surgeons. They tell me how the process works and how nursing homes milk the Medicare system. I wish I can rate 0 stars. Good luck with your loved one.

    My Aunt stays there when in need and has no complaints. She tells me nice stories of her stays. I hope to stay there when I need to.

    Depending on what floor your on can be very different experience I've had items stolen from my room, roaches, rude and ruff cna's and aids, sheets were never changed unless asked multiple times, horrible bedside manor from some of the doctors and the smell of feces and urine constantly

    Disgusting. Not because of the cleanliness. 1. not enough staff to tend to needs of patients. 2. attitudes of staff is horrendous and they do not cater to the patient or family. 3. New social worker is unbelievably unprofessional and told a family member "i don't want to get involved in your family drama." 4. Nurses are inattentive to changes in mental and physical status. 5.Medical care is not sufficient. 6.Grandmother was left alone in the dining room with no one watching her. 7.No communication between nursing, therapy, social work and family.
