    My mother was there for Rehab and 1 West did an amazing job! They all deserve high recognition! The nurses and nursing assistants were very attentive to my mother's needs. You have to be involved as a family when a loved one is ill. The nursing staff are doing their very best considering the number of patients they are given. My mother loved everyone who took care of her. I also have to give recognition to physical and occupational therapy! What an amazing team! They really want you to leave there as independent as possible! They helped us right up until my mom's discharge! Thank you so much!!

    The staff is great but whoever is running the place.....could use some improvement. My 90 yr old neighbor has been there over 2 weeks. He went straight down hill - no fresh air for 2 weeks, shades drawn. No light. I called to pick him up and they said come at 11. I took off work and at 11 they said they changed their mind and he had to stay. He had stomach problems and is not doing well.

    My 67 year old, fully coherent father was sent to recover here from lymphoma-induced pneumonitis. His care was sub-standard at best. Least of the problems were the bottles of urine on the windowsill that were left for days to be collected by staff. One night during his stay, my father could not breathe. His lungs were very inflamed. He called the nurses over, and over, for FIVE HOURS STRAIGHT. They ignored him. He finally had to call a family member on his cell phone. She came into the facility at 4 a.m. and demanded a nurse help him. The nurse realized he was in severe distress and sent him by ambulance to the hospital. Less than 24 hours later, he was dead. Think twice before sending people you love to be abused and die here.

    Have been there 4 times already. They need to purchase some uni-solv patches to remove tap residue, but have found most nurses to be very pleasant and helpful. PT and OT helped a lot in the rehab aspect.
