    Highland is outdated, understaffed, and dirty. The facility smells foul. It has a very poor reputation in the area.

    I was there from March 12, 2015 to March 17, 2015. I was a little scared being out of my element. The one thing I did notice was the employees. They were great, friendly. All of the Office personnel were great about explaining any questions I had and explained all of my rights. They were the best. The office people that stood out to me were Tanya, Jacinta and many others I can not think of their names as I have seen so many on a daily basis. They came by to visit and just wanted to see if I was settling in and needed anything. Nurse LAURA that worked on March 12, 2015 day shift. She has also worked other days but, do not remember the days. Nurse AMANA, DAN Dailey that worked midnights. Also the nurse that worked on March 16, 2015 2nd. shift that came in with Dr. Desai For evaluation. Nurses that took care of me were the best. I can not think of one nurse that was not good to me. The CNA's were the best. The ones stood out to me a little more were NIKKI, BRITTANY, DAWN, FINNEY and LAURIE. They were the ones that were my personal Aides. All of the others did a great also but, I didn't see the others as much. Housekeeping personnel that sticks out to me the most is LINDA and CATHY. Did a great job and were very friendly. The kitchen associates were the best If I didn't want what was for that meal I would ask for a Turkey Salad. Those salads were the biggest and. Clients that lived there permanently that stood out to me were Mike in Room 123. He visited me daily and from what I saw and the associates said about him that he was one of the biggest trouble makers (joking of coarse). Client Bunny in room 120 was the sweetest person ever. I absolutely loved her. It was St. Patrick's day when I was there and I didn't have anything that was green. She did not know this but the CNA came over a few minutes later from her side of our room and said bunny wanted to know if I wanted to were these things the CNA brought over. A pin, A hair piece and a Very big necklace. I took her up on the pin and the necklace. I want over to Thank her and visit with twice that day. So all in all my time there was great as the Associates make that place the best. I would go there again if I needed to.
